Why VOLTTEX is on the register

VOLTTEX claims to be operated by VOLTTEX MARKETS LIMITED which is located in New Zealand and is authorized and regulated by the National Futures Association (NFA) under the license number 0554312. As per New Zealand law, brokers operating in this country must be licensed by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) in order to offer financial products or services. We then searched the registry of FMA but found that this company is only registered with but not licensed by the regulatory body. It is registered as a financial advice provider, not licensed as a derivatives issuer. Furthermore, although it has an NFA number and we did find it on NFA website, records from the regulator show that VOLTTEX is not an NFA-member and thus not subject to their oversight. In essence, VOLTTEX is not regulated by any governing body. Entrusting this broker with investors’ funds is highly risky, as there are no legal protections in place to safeguard the funds. It is unequivocally a scam.

If you have money with this broker

  1. Stop sending funds. Do not pay any further “fees”, “taxes” or “verification” charges to release a withdrawal — this is a common secondary scam.
  2. Preserve evidence. Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, chat logs, and every screenshot before the account is closed.
  3. Report it. Notify your bank/exchange and your national financial regulator so the activity is on record.
  4. Get guidance. Tell us what happened and we will point you toward the right next step. We are a free public registry — we never charge any fees.
