SentFundsScam-broker register

FAQ

Common questions

Straight answers, no small print.

The things people most often ask before they check the register or get in touch.

Is SentFunds free to use?
Yes. Searching the register and contacting us for guidance is completely free. We never charge any fee — SentFunds is a free public registry.
A broker isn’t on your register — does that mean it’s safe?
No. Our register is large but not exhaustive, and new scam platforms appear constantly. If a broker isn’t listed, verify its regulation independently and, if something feels off, get in touch.
Can you guarantee I’ll get my money back?
No honest service can. Outcomes depend on how you paid, how long ago, and the institutions involved. We give you a realistic picture and help you take the right steps — we never promise a recovery.
I’ve been contacted by a “recovery agent”. Should I trust them?
Be very careful. Fraudsters frequently target people who have already lost money, posing as recovery experts and demanding up-front fees. If you’re unsure, send us the details before paying anyone anything.
What information should I include when I contact you?
The broker or platform name, roughly when it happened, approximately how much is involved, and how you paid (bank transfer, card, crypto). The more context, the better we can help.
Do you provide legal or financial advice?
No. SentFunds is an information and referral service. We can explain red flags and point you to the right people, but we are not a law firm or a regulated financial adviser.
How is a broker added to the register?
Entries are based on reports and public findings — missing or false regulatory claims, regulator warnings, withdrawal problems and other documented red flags.
Will my enquiry be kept private?
Yes. We use what you send only to respond to your enquiry, and we don’t sell or share your personal information.
