Why Maple Bit (aka Maple Token) is on the register
On January 20, 2024, the Securities Commission of British Columbia (BCSC) issued a warning against Maple Bit, urging BC residents to exercise caution because the company is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or derivatives in BC:

- Stop sending funds. Do not pay any further “fees”, “taxes” or “verification” charges to release a withdrawal — this is a common secondary scam.
- Preserve evidence. Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, chat logs, and every screenshot before the account is closed.
- Report it. Notify your bank/exchange and your national financial regulator so the activity is on record.
