Why Bitwerk is on the register
Bitwerk is a suspected fraudulent broker that fails to provide any regulatory information. It only discloses that it is based in Germany,but upon investigation, we found that it is not authorized by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). And in fact, the BaFin has listed it on its warning list due to concerns over illegal financial activities. Therefore, Bitwerk appears to be a scam.
If you have money with this broker
- Stop sending funds. Do not pay any further “fees”, “taxes” or “verification” charges to release a withdrawal — this is a common secondary scam.
- Preserve evidence. Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, chat logs, and every screenshot before the account is closed.
- Report it. Notify your bank/exchange and your national financial regulator so the activity is on record.
