Why AF Markets is on the register
AF Markets is a registered entity with Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC), however, FINTRAC doesn’t issue any licenses for forex trading or brokers nor does it regulate or license international companies engaging in such activities. Please be informed that Forex brokers in Canada should be regulated by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC). Nevertheless, we didn’t find any information of its regulation from the IIROC’s registry. So AF Markets is not regulated or not overseen by any financial regulator. That means investors’ funds in this broker are unsafe and cannot be protected by any laws. Therefore, it is a scam broker.
If you have money with this broker
- Stop sending funds. Do not pay any further “fees”, “taxes” or “verification” charges to release a withdrawal — this is a common secondary scam.
- Preserve evidence. Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, chat logs, and every screenshot before the account is closed.
