Why Smart Trader is on the register

The Smart Trader website fails to provide regulatory disclosures and does not list basic corporate information, including its legal entity name, registered address, jurisdiction of incorporation, or contact details. This indicates that the company has been operating since 2018; however, a search revealed that its domain name was only registered in 2020, which also raises concerns about its reliability. This lack of transparency makes it impossible to verify whether the platform holds any valid license or operates under legitimate oversight. Platforms with these characteristics are often unregulated or fraudulent, posing significant risks to investor funds. Therefore, Smart Trader appears to be a scam.

If you have money with this broker

  1. Stop sending funds. Do not pay any further “fees”, “taxes” or “verification” charges to release a withdrawal — this is a common secondary scam.
  2. Preserve evidence. Save transaction IDs, wallet addresses, chat logs, and every screenshot before the account is closed.
  3. Report it. Notify your bank/exchange and your national financial regulator so the activity is on record.
  4. Get guidance. Tell us what happened and we will point you toward the right next step. We are a free public registry — we never charge any fees.
